Final Semester of Undergrad

My last semester was more stressful, as I had to finish my thesis and my thesis poster. I’m not a huge fan of academic writing and it was a lot of academic writing. As per usual, I was scared of not doing well in school. The pharmacology course I took was very hard and stressed me out, and deeply affected my mood. I started seeing a counsellor at school to get some free support.

Over the reading week I had the opportunity to go skiing with my friend Sonya and stay at her chalet in Beaver Valley. It was nice meeting her family and I had a lot of fun, but felt intensely jealous as she had been preparing for medical school interviews. I compared myself to her and felt like a loser.

Despite having a tougher time, I still had a lot of fun. I knew I was going to miss living with my roommates and seeing Brianne everyday. I was happy that undergrad was almost over though. I stressed a lot about my grades and struggled a lot to get to the end. Finding the motivation to study was more challenging.

My final exam was a doozy. It was for a course with a really wack prof. I wrote the exam with accommodations (in a smaller room compared to a giant gym, which is helpful for anxiety), but it was insane. It was all multiple choice, and I’d studied hard, but I felt like I was guessing on at least half the questions. I left that exam feeling scared and defeated, but drinking a celebratory drink to celebrate the last exam of undergrad.
